Precious Moments Dolls - Samuel Butcher Precious Moments Dolls - Samuel Butcher "The creator of Precious Moments Dolls, Samuel Butcher, is an altruistic man endowed with
many talents. Although Sam has been an extremely successful businessman, he still remains as a much admired
and loving individual. His creation of Precious Moments has been greatly influenced by his personal trials
and tribulations in his life. He truly believes that the creation of his Precious Moments teardrop-eyed
children, whether in drawings, figurines, or dolls, help to spread love and sharing. The initial creation and distribution of Precious Moments dolls occurred in 1986. These first dolls were five-inches tall and were produced in the United States by the Samson Company. In 1989, the Precious Moments Country, Inc., opened their doors for business. And, in 1992, Precious Moments Country, Inc. changed their name to Precious Moments Company, Inc. Precious Moments dolls are still as popular as ever, and doll collectors from all over the world continuously seek out new doll editions to add to their collections.
