the tourist market to include hand puppets, soft kiwis, and sheep. Now, 32 years later, her award winning collectible mohair bears and
plush animals are exported to 19 different countries. Her business is truly a family affair as both her husband, Bryan, and daughter,

Robin Rive’s Countrylife New Zealand is located on historic Oakdale Farm overlooking the Waitemata Harbor in Auckland, New Zealand.
Oakdale Farm is a historic, picturesque place which was once one of the first honey farms in New Zealand; and is the perfect
inspirational setting for Robin to create her very special bears. It is also home to Robin's own flock of unusual spotted sheep
whose organically grown wool is used from time to time in some of her teddy bear creations. Oakdale Farm also grows lavender,
aromatic cedar wood and a variety of organic herbs used to enhance Robin Rive bears.
It is no wonder that each and every year many of Robin’s bears have either won or been nominated for prestigious industry awards
for her creations. This year alone, the following bears and plush animals have been recognized by both the TOBY (Teddy Bear of the Year)

This year, Robin Rive has specially created a set of exceptional bears as an extraordinary tribute to commemorate the 60th

Peaceis a beautiful 15 inch (38 cm) tall pale lemon wavy mohair with a
cream and gold bow worn around her neck, and cream silk paw pads. She holds a Peace Rose, which incidentally, is the most
popular rose of this century. The Peace Rose, a beautiful pale gold rose blushed with pink, was developed after the war to
remind the world of the importance of mankind living together in peace and harmony.
Rufus is an adorable 11 inch (29 cm) tall nut brown wavy mohair poodle with a
leather collar. Modeled after Winston Churchill's favorite dog, Rufus is a special tribute to both Winston Churchill and
the 60th anniversary of peace in Europe (VE Day, May 8, 1945) during World War II.
Soldier Boy is an adorable 15 inch (38 cm) tall antique taupe mohair soldier
bear that wears a British WWII jacket made from reclaimed vintage WWII fabric.
Digger is an adorable 13 inch (34 cm) tall khaki 'antique' mohair soldier bear that
wears a New Zealand WWI jacket made from reclaimed vintage WWI army uniform fabric. He wears a felt slouch hat to complete his
soldier look. He was created to honor the Australian and New Zealand soldiers of both great wars, WWI and WWII. Digger is
certainly destined to become an heirloom.
These are just a few examples of special moments and stories in history that are included with each Robin’s special creations.

Each of Robin’s bears comes from a limited edition (usually between 10 to 300), and has Robin’s signature on their foot-paw and a
numbered certificate of authenticity around each of their necks. (Robin’s signature appears on each bear’s right foot pad if it
comes from a limited edition; otherwise it appears on the left foot pad). Her bear’s foot pads are made of a variety of natural
materials – suede, ultra suede, chamois, felt or silk. Arctophilists (those who love and collect teddy bears) from all over the
