Paulinette Collectible Dolls Have Finally Arrived at Beacon's Glow Collectibles
In 2004, holiday sales rose 7 percent over 2003, with retailers seeing the strongest holiday growth since 1999 according to
the National Retail Federation. Predictions for retail sales during the 2005 holiday season remain optimistic with doll sales
continuing to be a good portion of sales.
Pflugerville, Texas - September 16, 2005 -- Beacon's Glow Collectibles, an online gift and collectibles retail store specializing in
dolls, bears & candles, is pleasing doll collectors of all ages by announcing their highly anticipated arrival of additional
Paulinettes to their 2005 Paulinette series of collectible dolls.
Avid fans of doll artist Pauline Bjonness-Jacobsen will welcome the news that their wait is finally over, as they have been awaiting this moment for
over a year. Three Paulinette 8-inch porcelain dolls have arrived and are ready for immediate purchase from Beacon’s Glow
Collectibles. They include Little Bo Peep; Mary, Mary; and Little Red Riding Hood.
Little Bo Peep is an adorable blond-haired, blue-eyed little girl who comes lavishly dressed in a pink
floral dress complete with a lace petticoat and bonnet to match her dress. She is one of a limited edition of 500 porcelain dolls,
and comes with her own Shepherd staff.
The second Paulinette to arrive at Beacon’s Glow Collectibles is Mary, Mary. This 8-inch hazel-eyed doll looks
quite contrary dressed in her country floral dress and straw hat. Mary Mary is one of a limited edition of 500 porcelain dolls,
and comes with a green watering can to complete her country doll look.
Little Red Riding Hood is the final Paulinette doll to arrive in this shipment. This brown-haired little beauty
is headed to her grandmother’s house dressed in a delicately floral dress complete with red cape. Little Red Riding Hood is one of
a limited edition of 500 porcelain dolls, and even comes with her classic picnic basket.
Additional Paulinettes are expected to arrive in October, and include Katia, a little Russian girl; Kendra, an African-American cherub; and Shoshone,
an American Indian girl dressed in her native attire.
Pauline Bjonness-Jacobsen, the creator of Pauline dolls, has been designing dolls for over 50 years. What once began as a hobby has evolved over the
years into a family business. Both of Pauline's sons, Mikkel and Ernst; as well as her daugher, Liesbet, have been deeply involved
in the business. Mikkel assists in sculpting faces and Ernst deals with business operations; while Liesbet steps in to design the
dolls' exquisite dresses and accessories. Pauline Collectibles is truly a family business.
For many years, Pauline Collectibles has been prestigiously recognized for design excellence and has been nominated thirty-one times by both
doll industry standards, Dolls and Doll Reader magazines. It is no surprise that three of Pauline's Paulinettes have received awards
or nominations. In 2003, Paulinette Sarah was nominated for a DOTY "Doll of the Year" award by Doll Reader magazine, and
Paulinettes Annette and Laura both won awards also. These awards have contributed even further to the popularity of Paulinettes.
Beacon's Glow Collectibles also carries many other manufacturers’ line of collectibles in addition to Pauline Collectible Dolls. Other
doll manufacturers include: Madame Alexander; Lee Middleton Original Dolls; Doll Maker Dolls by Linda Rick, Ginny Dolls by Vogue;
