The initial creation and distribution of Precious Moments dolls occurred in 1986. These first dolls were five-inches tall and were produced in the United States by the Samson Company. In 1989, the Precious Moments Country, Inc., opened their doors for business. And, in 1992, Precious Moments Country, Inc. changed their name to Precious Moments Company, Inc. Precious Moments dolls are still as popular as ever, and doll collectors from all over the world continuously seek out new doll editions to add to their collections.
